Training
and Internal Audits
At
LMV, we believe that training supervisors and managers and conducting
internal problem assessment audits are key components to minimizing employment
disputes. We recognize that employment issues inevitably will arise because
so many are based on behavior which employers cannot control. Our objective
with internal training and audits is to ensure that no employment issue
ever leaves the workplace without the employer first having the opportunity
to address and attempt to resolve it.
Our training programs range in lengths from one-half
to three days and cover topics such as harassment and workplace violence;
a supervisor's rights and responsibilities concerning equal employment
opportunity; how to discipline and document problem employees and employee
problems; hiring and interviewing; performance appraisals; handling employee
medical issues and leaves of absence; and remaining union free.
All of our programs are interactive, incorporating group
problem solving, audio visual components and individual case study methods.
We conduct the programs in a practical, user-friendly manner so that
attendees are comfortable with the material that is discussed with them
and leave the program prepared to apply what they have learned.
Our human resource audits are intended to assist employers
with compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations,
and to implement effective approaches to identifying potential problems
before they ever leave the workplace. Our audits include mock affirmative
action plan audits; audits of wage and hour and overall compensation
practices; audits of benefit plans, including health insurance and retirement
benefits; complete record keeping audits; employee attitude assessment
surveys; and mock Occupational Safety and Health Act audits. The audit
concludes with a written assessment and follow-up with the company.
